Properties or Preview
This dialog displays the properties of the selected volume, folder, or file. If a picture file (such as those with the extension BMP, JPG, PNG, TIF, etc.) is being selected, displays the picture in reduced size.
File or Folder Properties
The file or folder name.
The parent folder.
The last modified date and time of the file (not available for folders).
File or folder size.
MFT record number
The NTFS internal file record number of the file for tracing and debugging purposes.
MFT entry sector number
The position on disk of the file record.
The label of the volume.
The drive letter if the volume is active or volume number if it is inactive. The
volume number indicates the order in which the volume is detected by File
Scavenger and has no other significance.
The starting sector of the volume.
The total size of the volume including unused space.
The file system of the volume. File Scavenger® currently supports NTFS, FAT 32/16/12, Ext2/3/4, HFS, HFS+, HFSX, UFS1/2, XFS, and VMFS.
Recovery from FAT and FAT32 volumes usually provides mixed results. For more information click here.
