Hardware-based Spanned Volume

The recovery procedure is similar with the following differences:
  • The first sector for a disk extent is not the track size (63) but is hardware-dependent. See "First Sector value for hardware RAID" in Chapter 17.
  • The last sector for a disk extent is usually the last sector of the disk.
