A browser such as Internet Explorer may write new data to the system drive (usually drive C) or the drive
containing the browser cache (also usually drive C). If you are recovering from the system drive or one containing the browser cache, using the Internet browser will reduce your chances of a successful recovery. See
“Step 1: Protect the Subject Drive” in Chapter 3.
