Remote Recovery

With this service, we remotely log on to your computer via Windows® Remote Desktop, VNC or other types of remote control program. We then perform RAID reconstruction and recover data for you. This service is as fast as remote assistance and requires less of your time. It is somewhat more expensive.

The process starts with your submission of the data recovery evaluation form. If data is determined to be recoverable, we will send you further instructions that basically consist of the following steps:

• Set up a recovery computer with remote control capability.
• Install the disks on the recovery computer as standalone disks. See "Reconfigure the component disks as stand-alone disks" in Chapter 16.
• Prepare a destination folder for recovery.
• Sign a waiver and fax it to us.
